Poha Roti Is a very simple and easy recipe. Lot of veggies are used along with Poha/Aval and this roti tastes delicious just with tomato ketchup or curd. Any millet flakes/poha can be used for this recipe .

Ingredients:

  • 2 Cups Pearl Millet Poha
  • 1/2 Cup Rice Flour
  • 1/4 Cup water for Grinding the Batter
  • 1/4 Cup each of (Capsicum, Onion, Beans, Grated Carrots, Beetroot and Mint Leaves)
  • 1 Tsp Salt
  • 1 Tsp Salt

  • 4 Chopped Green Chillies
  • 1/2 Tsp Grated Ginger
  • Some Curry Leaves
  • Oil for cooking

Directions:

  1. In a wide bowl soak the flakes/poha with enough water for 5 minutes. Drain completely and grind to a fine batter by adding 1/4 Cup water.
  2. Add Other ingredients mentioned above except oil and make a thick Soft dough. If the dough is too sticky, add some more rice flour and adjust the consistency. Divide it into 7 to 8 balls.
  3. Take a greased butter paper. Place a ball and pat it on the paper. Now heat a tawa on medium heat. When it is ready, transfer the roti to the tawa and cook both the sides with some oil till it becomes little crisp.
  4. Serve hot with ketchup/pickle/curd etc.

Note:

  • Any Millet flakes can be used for this recipe.
