  1. Wash and soak millet and dal overnight. In the morning drain the water and grind it along with other ingredients to a smooth batter by adding approximately 3/4 cup of water.
  2. Rest the batter for 30 minutes. Make dosas and serve with chutney/sambar.


  • Other millets like Kodo, Millet, Barnyard, Proso can be used for this recipe.
  • The qty of rigour can be increased upto 2 cups.
