Set dosas are a Karnataka special delicacy. Slightly thick dosas are made by cooking the batter on only one side. My parents enjoy this petal soft dosas very much. I have used multi millets but it can be made using a single millet also.

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Soak the millets together for 4 hours.
  2. Soak sago, urad dal and methi seeds together for 4 hours.
  3. Grind everything to a smooth batter consistency, add salt and mix well.
  4. Ferment overnight.
  5. Make slightly thick dosas and close with a lid.
  6. Cook on medium heat till the bottom becomes crispy.
  7. Remove and serve with Chutney/Sambar

    1. Hi Veeena,
If you had followed the same measurements, it is not possible t get hard dosas! See below two validations for this recipe. Sabudana gives softness and hard dosas are not possible at all!

  2. Set dosas are quite popular in Karnataka and almost all darshinis and hotels have it in their menu cards. They are filling when eaten with saambar and chutneys. I’m so happy that I could please everyone at home with the same soft and tasty dosas with healthy millets.
It is filling and at the same not heavy on your tummy.
