Bajra Idlis

There is no limit to variation in idlis!! A hot favourite across the country, try this aromatic porus soft Bajra idlis for this winter! 

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Wash and soak Bajra grains and methi seeds for 4 hours.
  2. Wash and soak Urad dal for 2 hours.
  3. Wash and soak poha for 2 hours.
  4. Using a blender grind dal to a fluffy consistency, followed by poha and grains.
  5. Add little water while grinding as millets don't take much  like rice.
  6. Add salt and mix everything well and allow it to ferment overnight.
  7. Next morning make idlis and serve with sambar/podi/chutney.

    I have loads of bajra flour Nd it’s beginning of winter here. Could you please share recipe using bajra flour or the measurements would be same as multi millet flour. Thanks

      I use standard measuring cups. 1 cup means 240 ml. You can use any cup, but use the same for all ingreditents. Thanks for visiting.
